HUB – HELCOM Underwater Biotopes and habitats classification system

The Baltic Sea part of the EUNIS classification system was complemented by identifying and describing the underwater biotopes and habitats occurring in the Baltic Sea. The project was an important part of the HELCOM HABITAT RED LIST work that aims to perform a red list assessment of species and biotopes in the Baltic Sea. AquaBiota had a significant role in the project as research consultant to the HELCOM HABITAT RED LIST BIOTOPES working group.
