AquaBiota has been appointed as a Gasell Company 2022 by the newspaper Dagens Industri! Every year Dagens Industry recognizes Sweden’s most successful companies; the criteria are tough and less than 1 percent of Sweden’s limited companies qualify. The growth that is rewarded must be organic, i.e. not through acquisition.
“It feels great to be acknowledged for our success by being appointed as a Gasell company”, says Martin Isaeus, founder of AquaBiota. “Extra fun that we as an environmental and research company have been able to grow in this way. I hope that it will both inspire our employees, who contributed to the success, as well as others. We will now continue the development as part of NIRAS and gain a significantly greater international presence.”
This is how DI describes the Gasell criteria:
To be designated as a Gasell, the company must meet all criteria. We also make an overall assessment of the company where additional parameters that show healthy operations are considered
The following criteria distinguish a Gazelle company:
- A net turnover that exceeds SEK 10 million, according to the latest annual report
- At least ten employees, according to the latest annual report
- At least doubled its turnover, if you compare the first and last financial year of the four-year study period
- Increased its turnover every year for the last three years
- A positive overall operating result for the last four financial years
- Essentially grown organically, not through acquisitions or mergers
- Sound finances
