MSc Marine Biology
Viktor mainly works with providing data for public consultation, environmental impact assessments and permission processes, focusing on offshore wind power. The work includes literature search, data collection, GIS-processing and report writing. He also participates in field work and has experience in inventory methods such as beach seine, net fishing, eDNA, dropvideo, bottom grab, as well as molecular biology methods such as DNA-extraction.
Viktor also has experience of inventory of porpoises with help of acoustic detectors (F-Pods) and bats with bat detectors. Viktor holds a master's degree in Marine Biology from 2019 from Stockholm University and a bachelor's degree in Biology and Earth Sciences from 2016. In his thesis which consisted of a Minor Field Study (SIDA) he investigated the occurrence of antibiotic resistant bacteria and differences in gut microbiota between wild and farmed fish in Zambia. Viktor's degree includes courses in marine population- and ecosystem dynamics, marine conservation ecology, biology and GIS.
