MSc Aquatic ecology
Nicklas works with mapping of marine organisms and habitats as well as several other issues related to the marine environment. He works with methods such as spatial modelling and GIS analyses and performs field surveys such as diving, dropvideo, grab sampling and eDNA sampling. Nicklas works mainly with epibenthic organisms and habitats in the marine environment but also with freshwater species, especially amphibians. He also performs conservation value surveys and conservation value assessments. Nicklas has been involved in planning and participates in the National Marine Mapping (NMK), as well as several environmental impact assessments (EIA) for offshore wind farms and other projects. Nicklas completed his master's thesis in Ichthyology at the Swedish Museum of Natural History in 2007. His degree includes courses in aquatic ecology, fish and fishery biology, GIS and environmental conservation. Nicklas is also a professional photographer and has won several awards for his images.
