Ida works with spatial modelling of marine organisms and habitats, GIS applications and issues on marine mammals. Previously she worked with the Environmental Specimen Bank at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, and as information officer at the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. Ida received her MSc in biology from Stockholm University in 2002. Her degree included ecology, environmental protection, marine biology and GIS. Her thesis dealt with habitat use among humpback dolphins at the southern tip of Zanzibar.
